The Westside baseball school would like to take this opportunity to introduce you to the wood bat league for the up and coming season. The purpose of the wood bat league is to expose the player to a highly competitive wooden bat baseball league. It’s also a great opportunity to gain exposure to collage coaches as well as pro-scout while participating in the league.
The Westside baseball team, the 2000 and 2005 league champion will be made up of players from the Los Angeles area, which includes the South Bay, the San Fernando Valley and Westside.
The purpose of the Westside baseball team is to stress a better understanding of the use of a wooden bat and an increased understanding of the fundamentals of baseball. The coaching staff will work with the players on hitting, fielding and pitching and other aspects of the game. Westside Baseball will also offer assistance counseling and communicating with college coaches if desired. The school will also provide a fun atmosphere while receiving a great experience.
Directed by Mitch Miller & Supported by the Coaching Staff. The team has produced 40 players over the last few years that have or are playing college or professional baseball.
The games will be played on Saturdays and Sundays at different sites. The staff hopes to have some practices and play some other teams outside the league.
